Today we learned about Terry Fox! Terry Fox had cancer in his knee and so his leg was amputated. Terry Fox really wanted to run across Canada from East to West to raise money for cancer research. He started in Newfoundland and made it to Thunder Bay, Ontario. Terry Fox said, "even if I don't finish, we need others to continue. It's got to keep going without me." He wanted to set an example that would never be forgotten. This is why we do the Terry Fox Run every year.
Today we ran one lap of the school field to train for the Terry Fox Run, just like Terry did!
