TOMORROW IS PYJAMA AND BRING A TOY TO SCHOOL DAY!!!!

Please remember that all toys must be school appropriate and fit in your backpack. Come prepared for a day full of fun 😛

Tuesday, June 21st

Reminder that Friday, June 24th will be Pyjama Day and Bring a Toy to School Day for our class only. Make sure that your toy is school appropriate and small enough to fit in your backpack.

This whole week we have grade 1 buddies coming to read with us in our class. 

A few year end reminders before the year wraps up:

• June 28 is the last day of classes for Dalhousie.  If you have children in other schools, please confirm their last as it may be different.  Students in the Monday/Wednesday Kindergarten class will have their last day on June 27.
• June 28 is Sports Day in the morning only.  We will be monitoring the weather and the students closely with the anticipated heat and make adjustments as needed.  Please see the separate email sent.  If you are a cleared volunteer and would like to help out, please check out this link.
• Please check out the Lost & Found by June 28 at 4pm. After that time, all items will be donated.
• Beginning June 28, 2022, schools will have the online report card enabled for viewing. After this occurs, legal guardians / independent students are welcome to view report cards online. You can also view the report card information through a list view.  While it will look different from a report card, the list of indicators (K - Gr. 9) / marks (Gr. 10-12) and report card comments are all the same as what you will see on the online report card.   If you would like a paper copy of your child's report card, please email dalhousie@cbe.ab.ca by June 24 at 4pm.
• Appeals is on June 29 from 8:30am-noon.  Please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions.  
• The school will close on June 30 at noon for the summer.  As we do not yet know what the fall will bring, please watch out for information at the very end of August.  The school officially reopens on August 29 at 8:30am. 

Friday, June 17th

Monday is our last day of Inline Skating!

Next Friday, June 24th, our class will have a pyjama party AND bring a toy to school day! Please make sure all toys are, small enough to fit in your backpack, school appropriate (and non violent). Please also note that any toys brought to school will be your responsibility! If you couldn't bear to lose it, better not to bring it!

Today we did a LEGO challenge! We built insects out of LEGO in groups of 5-6!

Wednesday, June 15th

Today we used the parts of nature that we collected and turned them into bugs. Tomorrow we will be labeling the insects' body parts!

We had our second day of inline skating. Srta. Bertolesi is back! Tomorrow we have inline skating again. At inline skating we did two levels of Mario World!

Friday we have a LEGO challenge! We will also be distributing yearbooks and autograph sheets for all grade 2 students to sign each other's yearbooks!

Monday, June 13th

Tomorrow is our first day of Inline Skating!!! Please bring a helmet and pads if you want. If you do not have your own, some will be provided for you. We will be skating every day this week and Monday of next week.

Our Lost & Found is overflowing.  Please check it out at front doors of the school.  Any items left by June 28 at 4pm end of the year will be donated.

Friday, June 10th

Today we made our plans to build insects out of nature! We will be going outside to collect leaves and sticks and other loose parts on Monday.

Ask me to show you my ant rompecabeza (puzzle)! We're taking them home today!

Thursday, June 9th

Today we continued working on our presentations for Genius Hour (because we literally did it for one hour!)😂. Srta. Bertolesi also taught us how to link a video in our slides!

We had a substitute teacher in music. 

In math, we sorted 2D and 3D shapes!
